Many cat owners feel anxious about leaving their pet in someone else’s care while they are away. That’s why your cat’s welfare is of paramount importance to us as is your peace of mind - we want you to feel confident that when you leave your cat with us he or she will get the best possible care and attention.

Sue Swinchatt-Jones has been involved with animals all her life and has a wide range of qualifications and experience in animal care. She has a degree in Zoology and has taught Kennel and Cattery Management at the Welsh College of Horticulture. She is a qualified NVQ Assessor in Animal Care and regularly visits local kennels, catteries, pet shops and works closely with animal welfare associations.

Semliki was designed and built to the exacting specifications of the FAB (Feline Advisory Bureau) and was awarded the distinction of being the first

FAB listed boarding cattery in North Wales. It is fully licensed by Flintshire County Council and these requirements and standards are maintained constantly.

Cats are housed in spacious, fully insulated and individually heated chalets with outdoor exercise runs. Seven new pens were added in March 2005, including a large family pen which can accommodate up to six cats. Ideally located in a beautifully landscaped setting, south facing with stunning views of Moel-y-Parc and the Clwyddian Hills.

Individual likes and dislikes are catered for in the purpose built cattery kitchen. Special diets can be provided and regular meal times are strictly adhered to. (Toys, beds and scratch posts are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.)
